T-Shirt orders (new design this year)
Once a year we order (SSC) team T-shirts.  If you (or your skater) want to skate a LEAGUE meet the team T-shirt (or a uniform) is what must be worn to compete.  Order at least one.  Parents feel free to order one for yourself too.  Nicole has sample sizes at the rink.

 Orders must be in and paid for by next Tuesday, Sept. 30th.

9-16-03 OUTDOOR REMINDER FROM COACH LEE
For outdoor practice Coach Lee would like to see everyone in spandex - full uniform or shorts and spandex jersey.  A tight fitting bike jersey is the best because then you have a pocket for your water bottle.  Also workout or bike gloves are a good idea.
Remember to bring your water!

 If this is your first year skating we will need a copy of your (or your skater's) birth certificate.  Both your CHECK and BIRTH CERTIFICATE must be turned in to us by Sept. 15th.  That's TODAY!

Advanced team remember to bring your athletic shoes.
 OUTDOOR PRACTICE!!
MANDATORY for Advanced team skaters!  If you can't make it let one of the coaches know.   Saturdays 12:00pm to 2:00pm Southwood Office Complex.  Meet in the parking lot to the left of the TCC entrance off Capital Circle SE.  You must bring enough water for a two hour practice!
9-8-03 STRENGTH TRAINING
Friday evenings 5:30 - 6:45 For those of you who are really serious about your training this year, Dan Solomon, Certified Personal Trainer is coaching a strength training class geared specifically for us.
The first class last Fri. was fun!
Everyone needs to bring a water bottle and a towel. Freshman and above a weight bar and no more than 40lbs of weight for now.  If you are Elementary and below you need to bring a broom handle or a bar no more than 10 lbs.
Free to try for Sept.  Beginning in Oct. $10.00 per month.  We will try to add another weekly class if we can work it into the schedule.

Beginning of the season housekeeping!

USARS (USA Roller Sports) Membership Form
USARS is our sports governing body.  This fee comes up once a year (in Sept.) or when you enroll.  This IS MANDATORY!  The form needs to be filled out and returned.  IF your name (or your skater's name) is on the USARS master roll you can just sign the list and bring a check made out to USARS for $35.00 per skater.
If this is your first year skating we will need a copy of your (or your skater's) birth certificate.  Both your CHECK and BIRTH CERTIFICATE must be turned in to us by Sept. 15th.  WE WILL NOT LET ANY UNREGISTERED SKATERS SKATE PRACTICE AFTER SEPT. 15TH

Southern Speed Club Form
You only need to fill this out IF.....
You don't have one on file with us OR.... if you have moved and need to change any info.

Uniforms
Please let Nicole know ASAP if you want to order a uniform!  They are $90.00.  Uniforms are mandatory for Advanced Team and optional for the Beginner Team.  WE ONLY ORDER UNIFORMS ONCE A YEAR!  IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT WANT ONE ------ GET ONE!

Outdoor Release Form (Advanced Team only)
This form must be completed, notarized and turned into Lee before you (or your skater) can skate an outdoor practice.  Outdoor practice starts this Sat. Sept. 6th 12:00 - 2:00 at Southwood.
