race.....Justin was taken out by a skater before
races even began.
He was on the sidelines watching and
someone plowed him over. |

*In his short race Reggie fell and took the
mat from the wall with
him. The gentlemen that he is, he got up,
and started to fix the wall in the middle of the
race. The
refs blew the whistle and RE-RAN the race.
Reggie managed to get third even though he
had to skate it twice.

the top three skaters make it out of the HEATS
and qualify for the SEMIS and only the top 3 will
make it from the SEMIS to the FINALS.
Also remember that NO POINTS are awarded
for heats or semis. |

before. He sat in 3rd place and when Coach
Lee yelled for him to move up into 2nd he did it

the heats John, Reggie, & Todd were all in the
same semi race. A guy from another team went to
pass John and grabbed Reggie and took Reggie and
John and himself down. John was able to get back
up and finished 4th. This same guy passed right at
the last cone in the long race. |

Cameron and Todd are for both short and long races. Justin
and John are in their long race final.

Hurst took 3rd overall for JO Master Men!!!
The points fell this way....
They guy that got first in the short race did
NOT make it to the long, so he had 30
points. The guy that got second in short
race got first in the long race, so he had 50
points. The guy that got third in the short
race got also got third in the long race, so he
had 20 points. John got second in the long
race, so he had 20 points. Remember, when
there is a tie, whoever placed higher in the long
race wins. So, because John got 2nd in the
long he beat out the other guy who had 20 points
because that guy only got third in the long.
The guy that got 4th overall was so mad that he
didn't get third (he obviously did NOT understand
the point system and how a tie is broken)...that
he would not even get on the podium.
GO JOHN!
Reggie's first comment to John was, "BYE
JOHN!" Reggie is so excited that John is NOT
JO anymore! Now Reggie doesn't have to race John
at Regionals next year!
