Leif-
placed 3rd in all three finals and ended up 3rd
overall. Way to go, Leif. He jumped in the 5 lap
final and out-hawked for third at the line. We've
got a great picture of it coming to practice this
week.
B.J.-
in his 3 lap heat he slipped off the start, he
skated good though in
his 5 lap he went wide off the first corner and
couldn't make up the ground in his 10 lap he was
DQ'd for blocking. Overall he skated okay
but in his relay he skated awesome... in his relay
he was unstoppable.
Shakari-
she skated great and hung in there, remember she
was skating against the JR World team members.
Coach Lee is very proud of her.
Stacy
- she skated well but did not make it
out of her heats in her 10 or 20 lap races. She
did make it to her 5 final. She was in 3rd place
when she slipped and fell. Two other girls went
down with her. The coaches protested this race
because no one had cleaned off the floor from the
prior race. There was a nasty fall in the Junior
mens race and was sweat on the floor.
Stacy
did place 2nd place overall in her Senior 4
Lady Relay. She was racing with Mandy Howard, Jill
Rookard, and Kim Foster from GT Speed. Coach Lee
is very proud of Stacy. This is her first national
placement. Coach Lee said that she was skated
great and that they couldn't have gotten 2nd
without her.
John
and Reggie
skated well against a bunch of experienced master
men in the Master 2-Man relay. They got 4th in
their heat (it was 3 to qualify). To quote Shakari,
"they hung in there".
Our total
national placements are:
John Hurst -
3rd JO Master Men
Leif Bisping -
3rd Juvenile Boys
Stacy Phillips
- 2nd Senior 4 Lady Relay (GT Speed)
