First off,
I would like to thank everyone for a terrific year of
racing. It's fun to be apart of such a good race series
that allows beginners to learn about skating and grow as
athletes in our sport.
This year inspired me to do something different and
select one skater to be out NTF Skater of the year.
The skater, for those of you who did not attend Columbus
was Southern Speed's Reggie Morrison.
As the announcer of the NTF's I get a chance to watch
athletes grow and mature as skaters. The first time I
saw Reggie race was our first NTF in Lilburn, GA. Reggie
showed more heart that weekend, fall after fall, he kept
getting back up and kept going harder and harder. Most
beginners and even some advance skaters, when they fall,
just quit, NOT REGGIE !
As the year progressed, Reggie got stronger and stronger
as an athlete, and having the opportunity to talk w/
Reggie this year, he impressed me with his love of the
sport and determination to get better, which he did,
every time he stepped on the skate floor.
As the votes came in, it was a close race for who
everyone thought should be the NTF Skater of the year.
To award Reggie Morrison as the NTF Skater of the Year
was a complete honor on my part, I don't think a finer
skater could have won this award !
Everyone check back soon to Natural Ability Sports as we
will have a feature page on Reggie so everyone can learn
more about him !
Congratulations again to Reggie
on an awesome year !! I look forward to watching you
race next year and years to come !
Respectfully,
Charlie Bennett
